Summer Internship

Internships in the Visual Communication Design program aim to introduce students to the diverse application areas of visual communication across contemporary media environments, while situating these experiences within a broader understanding of design as a socially engaged practice. Students are expected not only to observe professional workflows but also to engage with how visual communication operates within cultural, technological, and social contexts, including collaborations with actors such as NGOs, social initiatives, public institutions, and responsible private sector organizations. In alignment with the program’s emphasis on human-centered design, internships are considered integral to supporting the development of core learning outcomes. Through these experiences, students apply and extend their knowledge and skills such as visual storytelling, information design, interface design, and critical inquiry while also developing the capacity to question briefs, interpret real needs, and contribute to projects that address issues such as accessibility, sustainability, and social awareness.
