About The Position:
The Visual Communication Design Department at TED University is searching for new candidates interested in full-time teaching positions as Assistant Professors or Instructors of Visual Communication Design to begin in the Fall of 2023. We seek an exceptional designer with a strong professional practice and a record of teaching excellence who is committed to innovative, interdisciplinary approaches to design education.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will initially teach undergraduate visual communication design courses. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research and creative practice agenda and participate in department and university service activities.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, or a related field is required. The interest of the candidates with a Ph.D. (or near completion) will be appreciated.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and professional design practice.
- A record of research and/or creative practice in visual communication design.
- Expertise in one or more of the following fields: basic design, photography, typography, branding, user experience, and digital media.
- Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and/or community engagement.
- The candidate should have a min score of 85 from one of the accepted English exams by the Higher Education Council (YÖK).
